In the first panel we will discuss the system of university consistories that was introduced on 1 September 2015 and that has been deemed controversial at best by the ombudsman. In the second panel we are looking for solutions that could make higher education efficient while respecting the rule of law.
From 18:30 we will present our video series “University and politics” in which experts and activists map the framework of discussing politics at university. After the videos the audience is welcome to discuss issues with the experts interviewed in the videos.
Our University Democracy project was launched in 2015 in order to support university autonomy and encourage students to become independent and conscious citizens. Last year we published our model regulation on the university ombudsman and our guidelines on discussing politics at university.
